Beni FC sydney has lifted up the title of 10th kandel consultancy cup held in Australia last week in a tie-breaker ( 3-2 ) against Forever Young FC Brisbane .
The exemplary 2 days football fiesta started on 7th of March following the finals on 8th of March at Darebin International sports Centre, Melbourne Victoria.
The classical football festival was organized by Yeti Football Club ( YFC ) who were defending champion’s for 3 years in a row , stands in 3rd position by defeating Fewa Football Club ( FFC ) .
BFC was qualified into the finals by beating the organizing team YFC in the semi-final . Beni FC were into the game till the final whistle and were so energetic throughout the whole tournament.
The tournament were classified into two groups :
9 A side National Soccer Tournament open age and Forever Young ( 35+ ) . On the other side, (35+ ) Yeti FC Melbourne grabbed the title by defeating Machhapuchhre FC Sydney by 1-0.
In the side of 9 A side National Soccer open age : For Beni FC , Vivek Adhikari The goalie saved a crucial penalty kick and clinge the Man of the Match for the day and eventually wining the Title of Kandel Cup 2020. Hemant Gurung , who has been amazing throughout the tournament was successfully crowned valuable player of the tournament. On the other hand Jagjeet shrestha became the highest goal scorer and GK Alan Neupane won the best goal keeper of the tournament.
Towards the 35+ category, Sajan Shrestha from Yeti FC was declared player of the tournament , Anil Lama from SGNC grabbed the highest scorer and Balendra Gurung from Yeti FC again won the best goal keeper respectively.
For the records, the prize money was $10000 in total which has created history to be the most expensive cash prize money in community sports competition.
The President of Organizing Club Yeti FC, Raj Sharma along with all the members and volunteers who worked hard for the championship to be successful stated :
